I’ve called Woodbury home for 35 years. As a wife, mother, grandmother, and lifelong community volunteer, I’ve seen firsthand the value of strong schools and engaged parents. But today, I’m deeply alarmed about the decline in achievement and what it means for the future of our children.
My background includes:
- 45 years as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital, which has provided me with an extensive understanding of working with people.
- Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Criminal Justice Emphasis), Cum Laude
- Active in Jail Ministry and small group community outreach
When my children attended Royal Oaks School, I volunteered often — from classroom assistance to leading Junior Great Books discussions. I had the privilege of leading a ”Release Time Program” that encouraged students to grow in character, morals, and values. Today, I’m committed to ensuring every child in District 833 receives an exceptional K-12 education that prepares them for success.
