I have lived in Woodbury for the past 35 years and my husband and I enjoy E-biking and other Enjoyable Activities in our Community. In the past my children attended Royal Oaks School, and I had many opportunities to volunteer and be involved with their education.
I enjoyed facilitating a Junior Great Books Class, along with classroom assistance when needed. My children are now Adults with their own Children, and my Passion Continues for every child to have the Opportunity for Optimum Education toward success in their future.
Unfortunately, there are “Roadblocks” hindering the Progress of the Children in the Classrooms, that needs to be addressed! I need your VOTE November 4, to represent your VOICE on the School Board, to help remove the Roadblocks for all Children!
· I worked 45 years as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital
· Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with Criminal Justice Emphasis, Cum Laude.
· I do Jail Ministry, along with having small church groups in our home.
· Provide parents the awareness of the District School Policies, allowing biological males in female sports and locker rooms.
· For the support of Teachers, and the need of hiring of more Teachers to work with the Higher Acuity of the needs of Children. Also, the importance of having a Corrective Disciplinary Action Plan in place when a child is acting out and disrupting the Class, and appropriate staff to assist.
· To Ensure Academic Excellence for the Children, it is imperative to be aware of and protect them from External Agendas that can result in Confusion, Anxiety and Depression for children, and plans to prevent it.
· The importance of Teachers to provide Transparency of all Curriculum and Reading Materials for Parents at the Beginning and During the school year. The parents need to be made aware of their Rights to Opt their child Out of a class they disapprove of, and the deadlines in doing so.
· To make Parents aware of the importance of Collaborating with the Teachers to ensure their Child’s Progress. Also, to share the Opportunity for Parents of Membership in Groups with other Parents in their District. (Such as: District 833 Parent’s United and Minnesota Parent Alliance).
